Hives to be marked with registered brand

50. Hives to be marked with registered brand



(1) A registered beekeeper must not have in his or her possession or under his
or her control a hive which is not marked or branded with his or her
registered brand in the prescribed manner.

Penalty: 60 penalty units.

(2) Nothing in subsection (1) applies to a registered beekeeper who has in his
or her possession or control a hive which is not owned by the beekeeper and
which is marked or branded with the registered brand of another registered
beekeeper if the beekeeper has the hive in his or her possession or control
with the authority of that other registered beekeeper.
