Release of licensee or permittee

64. Release of licensee or permittee



(1) A licensee or permittee who desires to vacate licensed premises of which
the licensee or permittee has been a tenant may apply to the Director for
release from their obligations under this Act.

(2) On an application under subsection (1), the Director, if satisfied that
the tenancy of the premises has expired, may-

   (a)  release the licensee or permittee from their obligations under this
        Act in respect of the licensed premises; and

   (b)  suspend the licence or BYO permit until it has been transferred or
        another person has been authorised under this Act to carry on the
        business under the licence or permit.
