Surrender of licence or BYO permit
63. Surrender of licence or BYO permit
(1) A licensee or permittee may apply to the Director to surrender the licence
or BYO permit.
(2) The Director must give notice of the application to any person to whom the
Director considers the surrender would cause material detriment.
(3) A person who is given notice under subsection (2) may make a written
objection to the Director within 14 days stating the grounds of the objection.
(4) After the period referred to in subsection (3) (or that period as extended
under section 174) has expired, the Director-
(a) must accept the surrender if no objections have been made; or
(b) if any objection has been received, must decide whether or not to
accept the surrender after considering the objection.
