What does the Panel do?

46. What does the Panel do?



(1) The Panel must consider each contested application and give the applicant
and each objector a reasonable opportunity to be heard.

(2) Hearings of the Panel are to be conducted in accordance with Division 3 of
Part 9.

(3) The Panel must report its findings to the Director.

(4) In its report, the Panel-

   (a)  must make a recommendation as to whether or not the application should
        be granted; and

   (b)  may make any other recommendations it thinks fit concerning the
        application.

(5) The Panel's report must contain the reasons for the recommendations under
subsection (4).
