LAND ACQUISITION AND COMPENSATION ACT 1986 - SECT 16

If the Authority has not acquired an interest in land to which a notice of intention to acquire applies at the expiration of six months after the service of that notice or at the expiration of the further period or periods agreed upon under section 17, the notice lapses.
