LAND ACQUISITION AND COMPENSATION ACT 1986 - SECT 104
Service(1) Any notice or other document which the Authority is required to serve upon any person under this Act may be served upon that person personally or by post.
(2) If the whereabouts of a person upon whom the Authority is required to serve the notice or document is not known to the Authority, the notice or document may be served—
(a) by publication of a copy thereof in a newspaper circulating generally throughout the State; and
(b) by affixing it in a prominent place on the land to which it relates.
(3) A notice or other document may be served upon the Authority by delivering or sending it by post to the Authority at its office, or to the office of such person as the Authority may authorize to receive the notice or document on its behalf.
