PART 1 PRELIMINARY

Purpose

1. Purpose

The main purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to establish a new procedure for the acquisition of land for public
        purposes; and

   (b)  to provide for the determination of the compensation payable in
        respect of land so acquired.
