Community consultative committee
12K. Community consultative committee
(1) There shall be established a community consultative committee.
(2) The function of the committee is to make recommendations to the board in
relation to any matter referred to the committee by the board.
(3) The committee must consist of not less than 2 members of whom-
(a) one shall be a person nominated by the Federation of Community Legal
Centres (Vic.) Inc.; and
(b) one shall be a person representing staff of VLA nominated by the
staff-
and any other person or persons who may be appointed by the board to be
members of the committee.
(4) If the Federation of Community Legal Centres (Vic.) Inc. or the staff of
VLA do not within one month after receiving a request in writing from the
board to submit a nomination for the purposes of this section, submit a
nomination, the board may appoint a person whom the board considers
appropriate and that person shall be deemed to have been nominated by the
Federation of Community Legal Centres (Vic.) Inc. or the staff of VLA, as the
case may be.
(5) Subject to directions of the board, the committee may regulate its own
procedure.
