Role of managing director

12A. Role of managing director

The managing director-

   (a)  has control of the day to day administration of the affairs of VLA in
        accordance with the policies, priorities and strategies determined by
        the board and any directions given to the managing director by the
        board;

   (b)  may exercise any power delegated to him or her by the board;

   (c)  subject to directions of the board, may, by instrument, delegate to an
        officer of VLA-

   (i)  any power of the managing director under this Act, other than this
        power of delegation; or

   (ii) any power delegated to the managing director by VLA.
