LAND ACT 1958 - SECT 151L
Property in trees where lease cancelled or expired(1) Subject to this section upon the cancellation or expiration of a lease all trees on the land comprised in the lease shall be the property of the Crown and all rights of the lessee in respect thereof shall cease.
(2) The Minister may by writing allow a lessee whose lease is cancelled or has expired to harvest and remove within a specified time any trees on the leased land or the produce of those trees or any improvements of a structural nature.
