Empanelment of additional jurors

23. Empanelment of additional jurors

Before the jury is empanelled in a trial, the court may order the empanelment
of-

   (a)  in a criminal trial, up to 3 additional jurors; and

   (b)  in a civil trial, up to 2 additional jurors.
