Court may determine that a person not perform jury service

12. Court may determine that a person not perform jury service



(1) If a court thinks it is just and reasonable to do so, the court may, on
its own motion, or on an application under subsection (2), order that a person
not perform jury service-

   (a)  for the whole or part of the jury service period; or

   (b)  for a longer period specified by the court; or

   (c)  permanently.

(2) If the Juries Commissioner considers that a person may not be able to
perform the duties of a juror, the Juries Commissioner may apply to a court
for an order under subsection (1).
