Donor treatment procedure information register

82. Donor treatment procedure information register



(1) The Authority shall establish and maintain a donor treatment procedure
information Register.

(2) There shall be entered in the Register-

   (a)  the names and addresses of persons, including-

   (i)  persons born as a result of donor treatment procedures;

   (ii) the descendants of persons born as a result of donor treatment
        procedures;

   (iii) donors;

   (iv) women who have undergone donor treatment procedures and their
        husbands; and

   (v)  the relatives of persons described in this section-

who have requested the Authority in writing to so enter their names and
addresses; and

   (b)  in relation to each person so registered, the wishes of the person in
        relation to-

   (i)  obtaining information about another person whose name is, or may in
        the future be, entered in the Register; or

   (ii) another person whose name is, or may in the future be, entered in the
        Register obtaining information about him or her.

(3) The Authority shall from time to time publicise the establishment and
purpose of the Register.





(4) The Authority shall upon the request of a person whose name is entered in
the Register, amend or cancel the entry relating to that person, or give the
person a copy of the entry.

(5) The Register is not part of the central register.

(6) The Register shall be kept in accordance with the regulations.
