Consent to research involving embryos

27. Consent to research involving embryos

(2) Research involving an embryo under section 22(1)(b) must not be carried
out unless-



   (a)  the embryo was formed for use in a treatment procedure; and

   (c)  before the research begins, each person who produced a gamete which
        was used to form the embryo consented to the use of the embryo for the
        carrying out of the particular procedure which the person who is to
        conduct the research intends to carry out; and

   (d)  the research will be carried out in accordance with the terms of each
        consent.
