Construction of provisions relating to bankrupt or insolvent members of public bodies

56. Construction of provisions relating to bankrupt or insolvent members of
public bodies

Where in an Act or subordinate instrument it is provided that a person who is
or becomes bankrupt or is or becomes insolvent shall not be capable of holding
or continuing to hold the office of member of a municipal council or other
public statutory body, that incapacity shall extend to any person whose
property is or becomes subject to control under the law relating to
bankruptcy.
