Reference to officer in general terms

47. Reference to officer in general terms

In an Act or subordinate instrument a reference in general terms to a person
holding or occupying a particular office or position shall, unless the
contrary intention appears, be construed as a reference to all persons who at
any time hold, occupy, act in or perform the duties of that office or position
for the time being.
