PART 7 REGULATIONS

Regulations

73. Regulations



(1) The Governor in Council may make regulations for or with respect to-

   (a)  forms for the purposes of this Act and the details that the forms must
        contain;

   (b)  prescribing records and information that must be kept by introduction
        agents and how and for how long those records or that information is
        to be kept;

   (c)  prescribing the form and content of advertisements used by
        introduction agents;

   (d)  prescribing fees for the purposes of the Act or the regulations;

   (e)  providing that a person, or a class of person, is not an introduction
        agent for the purposes of this Act;

   (f)  providing that a particular activity, or a particular class of
        activities, is not an introduction service for the purposes of this
        Act;

   (g)  prescribing, for the purposes of Division 2 of Part 6-

   (i)  the offences under this Act or the regulations in respect of which an
        infringement notice may be issued; and

   (ii) the penalties that apply if those offences are dealt with by an
        infringement notice;

   (h)  generally prescribing any other matter or thing required or permitted
        by this Act to be prescribed or necessary to be prescribed to give
        effect to this Act.

(2) The regulations-

   (a)  may be of general or limited application; and

   (b)  may differ according to differences in time, place or circumstance;
        and

   (c)  may impose a penalty of up to 20 penalty units for any breach of the
        regulations.
