Provisions of this Act not to be avoided

30. Provisions of this Act not to be avoided



(1) An introduction agent must not enter into an agreement that contains a
term that purports to annul, vary or exclude any provision of this Act (unless
the term is expressly allowed by this Act).

Penalty: 300 penalty units.

(2) Unless expressly allowed by this Act, any term in an introduction
agreement or other agreement that purports to annul, vary or exclude any
provision of this Act is void.

(3) Nothing in this section prevents the parties to an agreement from
including terms in the agreement that impose greater or more onerous
obligations on an introduction agent than are imposed by this Act.
