Definitions

3. Definitions

In this Part unless inconsistent with the context or subject-matter-

action means and includes proceeding in the Supreme Court or in the County
Court or complaint in the Magistrates' Court;





bill means bill of exchange (including cheque) or promissory note;

holder means the payee or indorsee of a bill who is in possession of it or the
bearer thereof; legal practitioner means an Australian legal practitioner
within the meaning of the Legal Profession Act 2004.
