9. Certificate of consent

A registered medical practitioner may certify in writing-

   (a)  that the consent in writing of a person under section 7 or 8 was given
        in his presence;

   (b)  that he explained to the person before the consent was given the
        nature and effect of the removal from the body of that person of the
        tissue specified in the consent; and

   (c)  that he is satisfied-

   (i)  that, at the time the consent was given, the person was not a child;

   (ii) that, at the time, the person was of sound mind; and

   (iii) that the consent was freely given.
