17. Written consent not sufficient authority in certain circumstances

A document that purports to be a consent given in accordance with section
15(1) is not sufficient authority for a registered medical practitioner to
remove tissue if-

   (a)  the registered medical practitioner has been informed that the consent
        has been revoked;



   (b)  the registered medical practitioner knows or has reasonable grounds
        for suspecting that a certificate given for the purpose of section
        15(2) in relation to that document contains a false statement; or

   (c)  the registered medical practitioner has been informed that the child
        is no longer in agreement with the removal and transplantation of the
        tissue.
