Terms and conditions of appointment

34. Terms and conditions of appointment



(1) A member of a board of a public hospital holds office for the term, not
exceeding three years, specified in the instrument of appointment and is
eligible for re-appointment.

(2) A member of a board is entitled to be paid-

   (a)  expenses incurred in holding office as a member of the board; and

   (b)  such remuneration as is specified in the instrument of appointment.

(3) Despite subsection (2)(b), a member of a board who is also a member of the
Legislative Council or a member of the Legislative Assembly is not entitled to
be paid remuneration as a member of the board.
