Power to fund agencies

17A. Power to fund agencies





(1) The Secretary may provide grants, payments, subsidies or other financial
assistance to agencies from funds administered by the Secretary for that
purpose on the terms and conditions that the Secretary considers appropriate.

(2) As part of the financial assistance under subsection (1), the Secretary
may fund, either wholly or in part, the provision of health services by an
agency and the funding can be determined by reference to the nature and extent
of the health service to be provided.
