Complaint about registered health service provider
55. Complaint about registered health service provider
(1) If the Health Services Commissioner-
(a) accepts a complaint, in whole or in part, about an act or practice of
a registered health service provider; or
(b) refers such a complaint to an authority other than the appropriate
registration board-
the Health Services Commissioner must give a copy of the complaint to the
appropriate registration board.
(2) The giving of a copy of a complaint under subsection (1) must not be taken
to be a complaint to, or a referral of the complaint to, the registration
board for the purposes of this or any other Act and the information provided
must not be used by the registration board as the basis for any investigation,
inquiry into, or other action relating to, the complaint unless the complaint
is referred to the board under section 52.
