Investigation to be conducted expeditiously

50. Investigation to be conducted expeditiously



(1) An investigation under this Division must be conducted as quickly as
practicable having regard to the nature of the matter being investigated.

(2) Until the investigation is completed and a decision is made under section
59 about the matter being investigated, the responsible board must, at
intervals of not more than 3 months, report to the following persons about the
progress of the investigation-

   (a)  any notifier in relation to the matter being investigated;

   (b)  the health practitioner or student being investigated.

(3) If a matter has been referred to an investigator to investigate, that
investigator must give the responsible board any information the responsible
board reasonably requires to enable the responsible board to comply with
subsection (2).
