Builder liable on sale of house constructed by builder

8. Builder liable on sale of house constructed by builder



If a builder enters into a contract for the sale of a dwelling-house
constructed by the builder and under this Act there is, or is required to be,
in force a guarantee in relation to the dwelling-house, the builder is liable
to the purchaser or a successor in title of the purchaser in respect of loss
or damage on account of a defect caused by bad workmanship that appears in the
dwelling-house during the guarantee period.
