Heritage Act 1995 - SECT 50

Certificates

50. Certificates



(1) A person may apply to the Executive Director for a certificate under this
section.

(2) An application must-

   (a)  be in a form approved by the Executive Director; and

   (b)  state particulars of the place or object in respect of which the
        certificate is required; and

   (c)  be accompanied by the prescribed fee.

(3) The Executive Director or a person authorised by the Executive Director
must give or send to the applicant without delay a certificate signed by the
Executive Director or authorised person stating in respect of the place or
object described in the application-

   (a)  whether or not the place or object is included in the Heritage
        Register under this Act and the category in which it is registered;

   (ab) whether or not the place is in a World Heritage Environs Area;



   (b)  whether or not the place is subject to an interim protection order and
        if so the date of the order;

   (c)  whether or not the place or object is being considered for inclusion
        in the Heritage Register under this Act;

   (d)  whether or not an application has been made under this Act for
        inclusion of the place or object in the Heritage Register;



   (e)  whether a place or object is included in the Heritage Inventory;

   (f)  whether an order for the carrying out of works is in force under
        Division 2 of Part 8 in respect of the place or object;

   (g)  whether an order under Division 3 of Part 8 is in force in respect of
        the place or object.
