Notice to owner

29. Notice to owner



(1) The Executive Director must give the owner of a place or object notice in
writing of the nomination of the place or object under this Division within 14
days after the acceptance of that nomination.

(2) If the Executive Director believes that it is not practicable in a
particular case to give notice to an owner in accordance with subsection (1),
the Executive Director may apply to the Minister to exempt the Executive
Director from the requirements of subsection (1).

(3) If the Minister exempts the Executive Director from the requirement to
give notice under subsection (1), the Executive Director must give notice to
the affected owners in any manner that the Minister specifies in the
exemption.





(4) If the Minister exempts the Executive Director from the requirement to
give notice under subsection (1), details of that exemption must be included
in the Heritage Council's annual report to the Minister made under section
8(1)(k).
