Commencement

1.2. Commencement



(1) This Chapter and section 12.1.4 come into operation on the day after the
day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

(2) Subject to subsections (2A), (3) and (4), the remaining provisions of this
Act come into operation on a day or days to be proclaimed.

(2A) Section 3.6.12 comes into operation on 1 July 2004.

(3) Section 12.1.5 comes into operation on 1 July 2009.

(4) If a provision referred to in subsection (2) (other than section 3.6.12 or
12.1.5) does not come into operation before 1 July 2005, it comes into
operation on that day.
