Duty to cease telephone marketing

67B. Duty to cease telephone marketing

A supplier or a person acting on behalf of a supplier who is carrying on
negotiations on the telephone which may lead to a telephone marketing
agreement or for an incidental or related purpose must-

   (a)  cease those negotiations immediately on the request of the person with
        whom the negotiations are being conducted; and

   (b)  refrain from contacting that person for 30 days for the purpose of
        negotiations which may lead to a telephone marketing agreement with
        that supplier.

Penalty: 60 penalty units, in the case of a natural person. 120 penalty units,
in the case of a body corporate.
