Fair Trading Act 1999 - SECT 32EA

How is cash price determined for leases of goods?

32EA. How is cash price determined for leases of goods?

In section 32D cash price in relation to a contract of supply of goods by way
of lease means-

   (a) if at the time the contract is made the goods are available for
purchase from the supplier-the lowest price at which the purchaser
might have purchased the goods from the supplier; or

   (b) if at the time the contract is made, the goods are reasonably
available for purchase but are not available for purchase from the
supplier or are available for purchase only together with other
property or services-the lowest price at which, at that time, the
purchaser could reasonably have purchased goods of that kind; or

   (c) if at the time the contract is made, the goods are not available for
purchase or are available for purchase only together with other
property or services-the value of the goods at that time.
