PART I PRELIMINARY

Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement



(1) This Act shall be cited as the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

(2) Except for Part II, this Act shall come into operation on a day six months
from the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

(3) Part II shall come into operation on a day twelve months from the date of
commencement provided for in subsection (2).
