44. Minister and Secretary to ensure conservation of taxon, community or
habitat

Before an interim conservation order expires the Minister and the Secretary
must take all reasonable steps for the purpose of ensuring the long-term
conservation of the taxon, community or critical habitat in respect of which
the order was made.
