Fundraising Appeals Act 1998 - SECT 60

Protection against self-incrimination

60. Protection against self-incrimination

(1) A person is not excused from giving information, producing a document or
doing any other thing that the person is required to do by or under this Act
on the ground that the information, the production of the document or the
doing of the other thing would tend to incriminate the person.

(2) However, if a person claims, before giving any information, producing any
document or doing any other thing, that the information, the production of the
document or the doing of the other thing might tend to incriminate the person,
the information, document or evidence of the doing of the thing is not
admissible in evidence against the person in criminal proceedings, other than
in proceedings in respect of the falsity of the information.
