Automatic extension of notice of deregistration

33L. Automatic extension of notice of deregistration



(1) This section applies if-

   (a)  a person is given a notice under section 33C(1)(c); and

   (b)  the person, under the
        Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 1998, requests a
        statement of reasons for the decision to issue the notice within 28
        days after notice of the decision is given to her or him.

(2) The date specified in the notice as the date the notice is to take effect
is extended by virtue of this subsection until 28 days after the day on which-

   (a)  the statement of reasons is given to the person; or

   (b)  the person is informed under section 46(5) of that Act that a
        statement of reasons will not be given-

whichever occurs first.
