Regulations

5. Regulations



(1) The Governor in Council may make regulations for or with respect to-

   (a)  regulating and controlling the manner of cutting felling obtaining or
        removing pulpwood in or from the Forest Area;

   (b)  prescribing covenants terms and conditions to be included in leases
        licences permits or authorities granted or issued after the
        commencement of this Act under the Forests Acts which will facilitate
        the transport of pulpwood for the Corporation or the supply of
        pulpwood to it; and

   (c)  any matter or thing authorized or required under the Agreement to be
        prescribed by regulation.



(2) Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with-

   (a)  any regulation made under paragraph (a) of the last preceding
        sub-section shall be liable to a penalty of not more than One hundred
        pounds or to imprisonment for not more than three months; and

   (b)  any other regulation made under the last preceding sub-section shall
        be liable to a penalty of not more than Fifty pounds.

(3) All regulations made under this Act shall be published in the Government
Gazette and shall be laid before both Houses of Parliament within fourteen
days after the making thereof if Parliament is then sitting and if Parliament
is not then sitting then within fourteen days after the next meeting of
Parliament, and a copy of all such regulations shall be posted to each member
of Parliament.
