Ratification and enforcement of Agreement

4. Ratification and enforcement of Agreement



(1) The Agreement is hereby ratified validated and approved.

(2) Notwithstanding anything in any Act the Minister the Director-General of
Conservation, Forests and Lands and all other officers concerned are hereby
empowered to carry out the Agreement and to enter into all agreements provided
for by it and in particular the Director-General of Conservation, Forests and
Lands is hereby empowered (but only for the purposes of and subject to
the Agreement) to enter into contracts with other persons for the felling or
removal or felling and removal of pulpwood in or from the Forest Area.
