PART 9 GENERAL

Service of documents

80. Service of documents



(1) If, under this Act, a document or notice is required or permitted to be
served on or given to a person, the document or notice, in addition to any
other lawful method of service, may be served or given-

   (a)  if the person is a natural person, by giving it to or serving it
        personally on the person or by sending it by post to the person at the
        person's usual or last known place of residence or business; or

   (b)  if the person is a corporation, by leaving it at or sending it by post
        to the registered office of the corporation within the meaning of the
        Corporations Act.

(2) If, under this Act, a document or notice is required or permitted to be
served on or given to a firm, the document, in addition to any other lawful
method of service, may be served or given by leaving it at or sending it by
post to the principal place of business of the firm.
