Power of inspector to require information or documents

69. Power of inspector to require information or documents



(1) An inspector who-

   (a)  exercises a power of entry under this Act; and

   (b)  produces his or her identity card for inspection by a person-

may, to the extent that it is reasonably necessary to determine whether this
Act has been contravened, require the person-

   (c)  to give information to the inspector; and

   (d)  to produce documents to the inspector; and

   (e)  to give reasonable assistance to the inspector.

(2) A person must not refuse or fail, without reasonable excuse, to comply
with a requirement made under subsection (1).

Penalty: 60 penalty units.
