Meetings of the Council

6. Meetings of the Council



(1) Meetings of the Council must be presided over by the Chairperson or if the
Chairperson is absent the members present must elect one of their number to
preside at the meeting.

(2) A majority of members of the Council for the time being in office
constitute a quorum.

(3) Subject to the presence of a quorum, the Council may act despite any
vacancy in its membership.

(4) The decision on any matter by the majority of the members of the Council
present at any meeting is the decision of the Council.

(5) Subject to this Act, the Council may regulate its own procedure.
