Acting appointments

32. Acting appointments



(1) The Minister may appoint a person to act as a member-

   (a)  during a vacancy in the office of a member; or

   (b)  during any period, or during all periods, when a member is unable, for
        any reason, to attend meetings of ACMI.

(2) A person appointed to act as a member-

   (a)  has the rights, powers and duties of the member for whom he or she
        acts; and

   (b)  is entitled to be paid remuneration, sitting fees, travelling expenses
        or other expenses fixed by the Minister.
