52B. Power of Chief Commissioner to require the holder of a category 1 or
category 2 firearms collectors licence to surrender certain handguns for
failure to comply with certain conditions



(1) If-

   (a)  the holder of a category 1 or category 2 firearms collectors licence
        has failed to comply with the condition set out in section 22(2)(a);
        and

   (b)  the Chief Commissioner has not cancelled the holder's licence for that
        failure to comply-

the Chief Commissioner may require the holder to surrender-

   (c)  any handgun in respect of which the failure to comply has taken place;
        and

   (d)  any ammunition in that person's possession that is capable of being
        used in that handgun.

(2) If the Chief Commissioner has decided to impose a requirement under
subsection (1), the Chief Commissioner must so notify the holder of the
licence.

(3) A notice under subsection (1) may be served on the holder either
personally or by post.
