Requirements for registration

39. Requirements for registration









(1) Before registering, or renewing or transferring the registration of, any
food premises under this Act, the registration authority-

   (a)  must inspect the premises; and



   (b)  must be satisfied that all the relevant requirements of this Act with
        respect to the premises have been complied with.

(2) In addition, if the premises is a declared premises, the registration
authority must be satisfied-

   (a)  if the application for registration, renewal or transfer states that
        the food safety program for the premises is a standard food safety
        program, that the program complies with the conditions listed in
        section 19DC; and

   (b)  in any other case, that there is a food safety program for the
        premises that complies with section 19D; and

   (c)  that no other ground for the refusal of registration, the renewal of
        registration or the transfer of registration, of the premises exists
        under Part IIIB.
