Registration of food safety program templates

19DB. Registration of food safety program templates



(1) The Secretary may register a food safety program template if the Secretary
is satisfied that the template appears to be suitable for use by the
proprietors of food businesses.

(2) The Secretary registers a food safety program template by publishing a
notice in the Government Gazette stating that the template is registered for
use and specifying the classes of food businesses in respect of which the
template is suitable for use.

(3) The Secretary may revoke the registration of a food safety program
template by publishing a notice in the Government Gazette stating that the
registration of the template is revoked.

(4) The notice required by subsection (2) or (3) must contain sufficient
detail to enable the food safety program template to which it refers to be
readily identified.

(5) If the Secretary revokes the registration of a food safety program
template, any standard food safety program that was created using the template
before the template was revoked ceases to be a standard food safety program on
the date of expiry of the registration of the premises to which the program
relates.
