97. General penalty for offence against Act



(1) Every person who contravenes or causes the contravention of or neglects or
fails to comply with any of the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of an
offence against this Act and shall for every such offence be liable on
conviction to a penalty expressly imposed in this Act for such offence.

(2) Any person guilty of an offence against this Act for which no penalty is
expressly imposed shall be liable to a penalty of not more than 50 penalty
units or to imprisonment for a term of not more than one year or to both such
penalty and imprisonment.
