34. Powers of inspector
(1) In the course of an investigation under this Part an inspector may require
an officer of the Board by notice in writing in accordance with the prescribed
form given in the prescribed manner-
(a) to produce to the inspector such books of the Board and other books
relating to affairs of the Board as are in the custody or under the
control of the officer;
(b) to give to the inspector all reasonable assistance in connexion with
the investigation; and
(c) to appear before the inspector for examination on oath.
(2) An inspector may administer an oath referred to in paragraph (c) in
subsection (1).
(3) An inspector shall not exercise his powers under subsection (1) in respect
of an officer of the Board unless he has furnished to the officer a
certificate stating that he is investigating affairs of the Board under this
Part and that the officer is an officer of the Board.
