ELECTRICITY SAFETY ACT 1998 - SECT 86B

Without limiting section 60ADB or 60AN of the Emergency Management Act 2013 , a Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee must, in a municipal emergency management plan prepared under section 60ADB or in an updated municipal emergency management plan prepared under section 60AN (as the case may be), specify—

        (a)     procedures and criteria for the identification of trees that are likely to fall onto, or come into contact with, an electric line ( hazard trees ); and

        (b)     procedures for the notification of responsible persons of trees that are hazard trees in relation to electric lines for which they are responsible.
