ELECTRICITY SAFETY ACT 1998 - SECT 102
Acceptance of electricity safety management scheme(1) Energy Safe Victoria must consider an electricity safety management scheme submitted under this Division with as much expedition as the requirements of this Act and the regulations and the proper consideration of the electricity safety management scheme permit.

(2) Subject to subsection (2A), Energy Safe Victoria must accept an electricity safety management scheme submitted under this Division if it is satisfied that the electricity safety management scheme is appropriate for the supply network to which it applies and complies with this Act and the regulations relating to electricity safety management schemes.

(2A) Energy Safe Victoria must not accept an electricity safety management scheme that purports to authorise a person to carry out any class of electrical linework—
(a) for which the person is not licensed under Division 2 of Part 3; and
(b) that is a prescribed class of electrical work for the purposes of that Division.
(3) Energy Safe Victoria must notify the major electricity company in writing of its decision to accept an electricity safety management scheme.
