Other assistance in exercising powers

21A. Other assistance in exercising powers



(1) For the purpose of exercising a power under this Act or the regulations,
an inspector may seek the assistance of any person.

(2) If the power being exercised involves entry to a place, the person
assisting must be allowed access to the place by the person who has the
management or control of the place for the time being.

Penalty: 60 penalty units for a natural person; 300 penalty units for a body
corporate.





(3) If an inspector uses the assistance of an interpreter-

   (a)  any enquiry or request made by the interpreter on the inspector's
        behalf is taken to have been made by the inspector; and

   (b)  any answer given to the interpreter is taken to have been given to the
        inspector.
