Environment Protection Board
8. Environment Protection Board
(1) There is established an Environment Protection Board.
(2) The functions of the Board are-
(a) to advise the Minister and the Chairman on-
(i) the administration, policies and strategic directions of the
Authority; and
(ii) the Authority's corporate plan; and
(iii) national and international trends of significance in environment
protection; and
(b) to advise on the appointment of the Chairman when that position is
vacant; and
(c) to inquire into, and to report on, any matter or thing relating to the
administration or business practices of the Authority that is referred
to it by the Minister or the Chairman; and
(d) generally to carry out any other function or duty given to it, or
imposed on it, by this Act or any other Act.
(3) The Board may do all things that are necessary or convenient to enable it
to perform its functions.
